Asiago Bread Loaf
Is there anything better than fresh bread? Yes – fresh bread topped with lots of tasty cheese! This soft and fluffy bread sprinkled with Shredded Asiago is tangy and delicious. Baked to perfection, this irresistible loaf will be a hit among your friends and family. Spread on some butter and enjoy.
Recipe Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups water
- 3 tbsp. butter, melted
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 3 tbsp. honey
- 1 ½ tbsp. quick rise yeast
- 6 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 170g package of Paradise Island Shredded Asiago, divided
Recipe Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 ° F. Grease two 2lb loaf pans with cooking spray and set aside.
- Combine in a small pot and heat water, butter, milk, and honey until it reaches 110°F or until
warm to the touch. - Add water mixture to the mixing bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook. Add yeast and gently stir with a fork to combine. Let sit for about 5 minutes or until
frothy. - To the yeast mixture, add flour, salt and cheese. Removing ½ cup of cheese for the top.
Mix on low speed for 3-4 minutes until the dough comes together. - Transfer dough to a lightly floured work surface and knead for 1 minute and then shape
into a ball and place in a lightly greased medium-sized bowl. - Cover dough with a damp cloth and let rise briefly for about 15 minutes.
- Gently punch the dough down and divide it into 2 equal pieces and shape each piece into
a log fitting the size of the pan. Place into greased loaf pans and cover again with a damp
cloth and let rise for another 15-20 minutes. - Uncover loaves and top each loaf with ¼ cup of cheese.
- Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes or until loaves are golden brown and baked
through. - Serve warm and enjoy!
