Holiday Pecan Crusted Cheese Curds with Cranberry Dipping Sauce
These cheese curds covered in a pecan crust are warm and gooey on the inside and crispy on the outside. Serve with a side of cranberry dipping sauce and you’ve got the perfect appetizer for the holiday season.
Recipe Ingredients
Pecan Crusted Cheese Curds
- ¾ cup all purpose flour
- ½ tsp. salt
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tbsp. milk
- 1 ½ cups panko crumbs
- ½ cup pecans, ground into small crumbs
- 1 400g pack Paradise Island Cheese Curds
- Oil for frying
Cranberry Dipping Sauce
- 1 ½ cups fresh cranberries
- 3 tbsp. orange juice
- ½ tbsp. maple syrup
- salt to taste
Recipe Directions
- Preheat oil for frying to 350° F.
- In a medium bowl combine all purpose flour and salt.
- In a medium bowl combine eggs and milk and mix well to combine.
- In a medium bowl combine panko and pecans and combine well.
- Dip each cheese curd into the flour mixture, then the egg mixture and lastly the panko
mixture. - Carefully place each crusted curd into the hot oil, fry for 1-2 minutes until curds are
floating and golden brown. - Carefully remove cheese curds and place on paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Place cheese curds on a serving platter and serve hot with dipping sauce.
Dipping Sauce
9. Add all dip ingredients into a small pot and on low- medium heat cook until cranberries blister and the sauce thickens (about 20 minutes).
