Shakshuka with Feta
This is the perfect Shakshuka recipe for brunch! Hearty and savoury, this one skillet meal combines poached eggs in a chunky tomato sauce. Sprinkle with our regular Feta and enjoy.
Recipe Ingredients
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 a yellow onion, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp. tomato paste
- 1/4 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1/2 a 28 oz. can of crushed tomatoes
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup Paradise Island Feta, crumbled
- A handful of chopped parsley for garnish
Recipe Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Warm oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add peppers, onion, and salt, and stir for 4-5 minutes.
- Add tomato paste, garlic, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir for 1-2 minutes.
- Add half a can of crushed tomatoes. Bring mixture to a simmer and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and crack 3 eggs right into the skillet.
- Transfer skillet to oven and cook for 10 minutes or until eggs are cooked.
- Remove skillet from oven and sprinkle with Feta and parsley.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
