3 Cheese Scalloped Potatoes
Every nook and cranny of this delicious 3 Cheese Scalloped Potato dish is covered in cheesy goodness! The whole family will love this comforting side dish. It’s perfect for holiday entertaining including Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Recipe Ingredients
- 6 medium white potatoes, sliced into ⅛ inch slices
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 ¾ cup Paradise Island Lactose Free Mozzarella Cheese, shredded and divided
- 1 170g package of Paradise Island Shredded Parmesan Cheese, divided
- 1 170g package of Paradise Island Shredded Asiago Cheese, divided
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp. chives, diced
Recipe Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F.
- Prepare a 1.8L baking dish and set aside.
- In a medium pot on medium-high heat melt butter and sauté garlic and onions.
- Once garlic and onions are translucent add flour and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Add milk and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Once milk mixture starts to thicken
add ½ cup of Lactose Free Mozzarella and ¼ each of Shredded Parmesan and Asiago and
mix to combine. - Carefully add ¾ cup of cheese sauce to the baking dish, layer ⅓ of the potatoes on top.
- Add another ¾ cup of cheese sauce on potatoes and top sauce with ¼ cup Lactose Free Mozzarella and
2 tbsp. each of Shredded Parmesan and Asiago. - Repeat adding potatoes, then sauce and cheese, ending with cheese as the last layer
and adding all remaining cheese on top. - Bake in the oven for an hour and 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbling and you are able to slice through the potatoes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chives, serve warm and enjoy!
