Classic Beef and Bean Chili
This classic Beef & Bean Chili made with our Lactose Free Old Cheddar is a must-try! It’s comforting, delicious, and will warm you up on a cold winter day.
Recipe Ingredients
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 red pepper, diced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 796ml (28 fl oz) canned diced tomatoes
- 540ml (19 fl oz) canned and drained kidney beans
- 540ml (19 fl oz) canned and drained black beans
- 1 cup marinara sauce
Garnishes:
- 1 cup Paradise Island Cheese Lactose Free Old Cheddar, shredded and divided
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sour cream
Recipe Directions
1. In a large pot over medium-high heat add oil.
2. Once heated add the onions and red peppers and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add chili powder, garlic powder and cumin and stir to combine.
4. Add diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans and marinara sauce then stir to combine.
5. Bring chili to a simmer and let simmer for 15-30 minutes.
6. Serve hot and top with shredded cheese and garnishes.
