Spicy Queso Dip
This Spicy Queso Dip is a smooth and delicious appetizer. Made with two of our Lactose Free cheeses including Jalapeño Monterey Jack and Old Cheddar, this cheesy dip is full of texture and taste.
Recipe Ingredients
- 1 tbsp. butter
- ½ onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 2 oz. regular or lactose free cream cheese
- 1 ½ cups milk
- ¼ cup cilantro
- 3 cups Paradise Island Lactose Free Old Cheddar, grated
- 3 cups Paradise Island Jalapeño Monterey Jack or Lactose Free Jalapeño Monterey Jack, grated
- ½ jalapeño, minced
- 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
- ½ tomato, diced
- Tortilla chips
Recipe Directions
- In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add onion, jalapeños, and cumin. Cook for 5 minutes until onions are soft. Add cream cheese and milk. Cook until cream cheese has melted.
- Add cheese and flour to a bowl. Stir to combine.
- Add small amounts of cheese to milk mixture at a time. Whisk until sauce is smooth.
- Stir in cilantro.
- Top with chopped tomatoes and cilantro.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
